What if Destiny could connect to Earth?

Alright, hear me out—what if the Stargate franchise finally stopped dancing around nostalgia and gave us what we’ve been craving since Universe left us hanging in cryo? I’m talking about a direct continuation that doesn’t just reboot the past, but finally brings Destiny back into the fold—with Earth in the mix.

Picture this: Earth finally breaks through the tech ceiling. Maybe a synthetic ZPM or some evolved naquadria-based tech lets them dial Destiny across galaxies—intermittently. Not often, but enough to matter. We’re talking rare, unstable windows where they can send people or data. Just enough to keep the crew fresh and the story flexible.

That opens up insane potential. You rotate characters in and out—classic SG-1 or Atlantis faces for fan service, new blood for growth. Destiny remains the anchor, exploring deep cosmic mysteries, while Earth offers the human grounding and resource resupply that made the original SGC dynamic work so well.

We could even get crossover arcs. Ancient colonies lost to time, the final legacy of the Ori, or even find out the Asgard left more than just data behind. This is where canon builds instead of resets. This is how you evolve a universe, not just repeat it.

If Amazon wants to get serious with the Stargate IP, this is the way. Keep the continuity, freshen the formula. Destiny doesn’t need to be alone anymore—and neither do we.
