You start out in a super flat world consisting of a block called the essence of reality. The block when mined will randomly produce numbers from zero through nine. Using these numbers in your personal crafting grid, you can assemble them into letters. The recipes for the letters are the uppercase ASCII values for the letters. So capital ‘A’ is 64 and capital ‘Z’ is 90. The tens’ digit goes on top and the ones digit goes on the bottom. 

The quest book available via the inventory screen explains this in great detail. Two things you will need to create in your lifeless universe are dirt in which to grow life. So start out by crafting dirt. Then craft life. Once you have life, you use it as the ingredient for other types of life. The default life is the oak sapling.

Plant it, twerk it, make it grow!

Ultimine is in the pack, as well as tree-feller. You only need to punch or mine out the bottom block of a tree to harvest it. No, additional durability or hunger will be incurred.

Ultimately, your goal is to get the Philosopher’s stone. That is this pack’s current end-game scenario. Defeating the End Dragon is not the goal. In fact, you’ll be hard-pressed to find him.
