RealmWalker demo on Linux Mint kept me locked in for 47 minutes straight. I planned to stop at 20 but felt compelled to jump right back in for a second full run. A third was tempting, though I figured nobody wants an hour and a half of the same loop.
There is plenty of narration to guide you along. The onboarding is a bit light at the start, but it is easy enough to figure out as you go. Bigger obstacles get cleared with a double-jump, by the way. Controls are standard WASD plus mouse. If you can handle Minecraft, you can handle this.
There is no mana bar to babysit, but health is limited and you feel every hit. The mix of combat and the upgrade tree between realm walks is what sells it. You do not walk away from a run feeling like you took five bucks to the corner store and only got one thing. You buy a lot of upgrades and you feel the difference right away. It feels downright good.
Come along for the ride and enjoy RealmWalker with me.

Know of a game you want me to try? Put it in the comments and I will give it a once over.
