Mine the starting sector before you advance in Leaks In Space. Clearing that first chunk of the Syntar system stocks the scrap and buildable resources you need before the later sectors start punching holes in the hull.
This is a practical early-game tip for Frostech Game Studio’s Early Access space sim. You are a scavenger who glitched into the Syntar system. The ship is a puzzle of crafted parts on a core, and pressure is life support. Leaks drain it. Hit zero and the ship dies. Pushing ahead with a thin hold makes every pirate, slugmite, and rogue droid fight more expensive than it needs to be.
What the video covers:
Why the starting sector is worth a full mining pass before you jump forward
Leaks In Space is single-player, Early Access, from Frostech Game Studio. Build the ship, protect the core, manage hull and pressure, fight or flee, and work the stations for Power Nodes.

If the start still has rocks worth cracking, stay and mine them.
00:00:00 Intro
00:00:09 Possible Exploit
00:05:08 Ore & Crystals drop from anything
00:05:27 Get the crystals now so you can satisfy a quest later
00:06:07 Is this satisfying?
00:06:56 Inertia, inertia, inertia!
00:07:30 Ships inventory, discussing collection ammounts
00:08:23 Syntorite and an Ore Scanner?
00:08:46 Not rail guns, but…
00:09:56 Two bonus questions! I embed these in videos, but don’t always mark them.
00:10:00 Still not rail guns, but…
00:12:31 Get a garbage bag will ya!
00:12:50 Probably not an exploit even tho I still think it is, low drop rate and all.
00:13:40 Is this game moddable?
00:14:35 What if I hold the fire button down?
00:15:02 Without seeing one, i’m pretty sure these are just t3 turrets now.
00:15:52 Technically enough, game is very playable now if finish the tutorial.
00:16:13 So glad that tutorial doesn’t lock you in to itself.
00:16:45 Going for an ideal, because I want more than just playable.
00:16:57 #letsgameitout receives a plug. If i were Josh… da da daaaaa
00:17:20 Seriously could use a skip dialouge feature.
00:17:33 Getting on with the tutorial, finishing off the scrap collection.
00:17:53 Ranting about the objective and thankful for no time limit.
00:18:18 Video titling thoughts.
00:18:55 I hate this ship design.
00:19:05 Shipbuilder to the rescue.
00:19:26 Shotgun mining, if this is moddable, I want that.
00:19:58 Do it now!
00:20:17 These chapters are birthed here!
00:20:54 More on inertia types.
00:21:50 Reviewing the inventory.
00:23:02 Pointing out a gate marker.
00:24:29 Still in the starting sector, talking about the next two sectors.
00:26:37 Talking about the busted gate we’ll be forced to use.
00:27:17 Thinking back to the first playthru
00:28:07 You can push stuff around.
00:31:56 Pondering the edge of the map.
00:32:42 Collected the quartz and more thoughts
00:33:44 The game isn’t this calm and why…
00:34:27 The start of the pain.
00:34:53 Don’t neglect the scrap.
00:36:12 Leaving the tutorial sector.
00:38:05 We’ve arrived. What was saved was 3 core inventory and 2 extra inventory.
00:39:22 The dialogue is quite good really.
00:40:19 Docking with Midas station first time.
00:43:32 Clearing first mission, and did I mention inertia?
00:44:18 Shipbuilder, not explained, but you can figure it out.
00:48:45 Really wishing I had spent more time in the start sector.
00:50:11 Talking about the rail gun and power cores.
00:51:34 Thought I was on to something, but ultimately I was wrong about it.
00:52:00 Loving on the rail gun
00:56:40 There is no right or wrong way to get anywhere.
00:57:01 Why can’t we bookmark spots in the sector? mod idea.
00:57:35 Purple asteroids.
00:57:57 It’s quartz!
00:59:16 Finishing Jenna’s quest.
01:00:58 I’m not a Dukes of Hazzard so I’m running!
01:01:50 Lost the main thruster and a cargo pod, limping back to Midas station.
01:03:01 Strategy, dock, undock repair, lose nothing!
01:12:40 Quest completed without being completed, I think it’s translated wrong.
01:14:16 The brown asteroids are usually pure ore.
01:35:05 Looking for Pelagos jump gate, it’s unmarked until you find it,
01:43:33 Looking for Pelagos jump gate, the quest doesn’t tell you that.
01:46:57 Killing a slime nest, rail guns help here more than you know!
01:47:39 Looking for Pelagos jump gate, hint: Northeast corner of map is where it is at.
02:17:50 So frustrating, I haven’t learned the hint yet. I Googled it eventually.
02:18:29 Rebuilding my ship with all the stuff I collected.
02:19:00 I lost the rest of the footage, about 30 minutes. I made it to Pelagos
02:20:00 and kicked some butt.
