I decided to update my old Extreme 1.8.9 Mega Pack. While it did not live up to its name with 137 mods, it’s time for a refresh. The updated pack will be for 1.12.2, the last version where Buildcraft was actively developed. Along the way, I’ve tweaked the setup, removed incompatible mods, and analyzed the overall composition. Turns out, it was a factory-focused pack all along.

The original pack will also get a new name, reflecting its concept more clearly. While this is technically a new pack, it’s also a spiritual successor to the original. Both packs will share the new name, with this one being the “II” version.

Now, let me warn you—this pack is sadistic. It includes TerraFirmaCraft (TFC), which makes the early game very slow. Not grindy, but definitely slow-paced. I plan to create a questline to complement TFC’s excellent manual, which already does a fantastic job explaining the mechanics of early, mid, and late gameplay. I can see why people love it!
