Wanderburg Demo: Mortal Engines as a Roguelike

Wanderburg Demo hits like Mortal Engines turned into a game: you drive a castle on wheels, eat villages, and grow into a rolling war machine.

This is Randwerk and Sidekick Publishing’s free Steam demo of a minimalist medieval roguelike. Castles hunt. Villages flee. Only the biggest stronghold survives. You start small, then roll forward and consume fleeing settlements, flocks, and weaker fortresses so the burg expands instead of just leveling up.

What the video covers:

First impressions of the moving-fortress loop
Modular siege builds: cannons, arcane towers, explosives, and wild run-to-run combos
Steam engines next to wizard artillery, knights on bicycles, and land-warship broadsides
Between-run unlocks for new modules, vehicles, artifacts, and captains
Why it feels like Mortal Engines if the cities were also a roguelike arsenal

The demo is free, mouse/keyboard or controller, and built to run light. If you want predator cities chewing the map, grab it on Steam and watch the burg get out of hand.

*Note: the weapons have special abilities, when you start mashing the keys to activate them, the game becomes even more enjoyable!
